This seems to be a common issue for me....keeping my blog/s up to date. Wow! It has been almost a year since I last posted. Life has a way of pushing all the other stuff to the bottom of the list.
The weather here in the Florida Panhandle is once again hot and steamy. We actually just spent five fun filled hours at the beach just a few days back. The girls had a wonderful time as did Zack and I, despite the fact that not even three weeks back Zack had foot surgery to remove two bone spurs and was still all wrapped up and on crutches. He just chilled out under the bright neon green umbrella and read his book on my Kindle.

That Kindle is the best Christmas gift I have received thus far to date. I believe I have over ninety books on it already and have read twenty-one of those so far. Zack even has his own section on it that I store his books under. He isn't a big reader but he will pick up the Kindle every now and again. Must be that it is a device
and we all know how men love electronic devices.
Zack did spend a huge portion of his time reading his book by Tucker Max. He is a big fan of this guy's books, but said the first one is funnier than the second one. I'll
have to take his word on it since I have read neither of these. Although the movie based on the first book was pretty funny. Once again must be a man thing, but hey if it gets him to read I am all for it.

The day spent at the beach was an over all hit. I definitely need to remember to apply sunscreen way more frequently than I did since we all were a slight pink tone the next day.
Remi and Tate really love the water and were in it pretty much the entire time we were there.

The beach is one of those summer activities that the girls never seem to tire of and as the summer season is full upon us it looks like we will be at the beach on the sand and playing in the water as much as I can manage.

I am so happy for you guys that you can go so often! I love the beach! I really like how white your sand is and how blue the water is. It is so beautiful.
So, tell me. Do you like reading the Kindle better than holding the book? I have thought about getting one, but I love the 'book feel' of a book. Do you get that with the Kindle? We don't have any bookstores here (sigh) and I would love to be able to just download whatever I wanted on it.
I absolutely love my kindle and honestly it looks like a book when you are reading. Has no glare, so I can read it in glaring sun unlike all the other brands or a computer.
It is super light, lighter than most books. I have over a hundred books on mine so far, most free.
Plus side, Zack will actually read on the Kindle. He won't pick up a book. The only downside IMHO is it isn't friendly for how-to, DIY, magazines, or cookbooks. Which isn't a big deal since I got it to read a basic paperback. I have already read more than twenty books since I've had it.
Oh, the portability. Love that I can take an entire library where ever I go so I always have something to read. Wow, the battery on this sucker is amazing.
It won't replace a book for me entirely but I can't imagine not having it now. It is super easy to add books to. I add most of mine directly from the amazon site. I've only used the wi-fi twice to purchase a book out and about, it was super easy. I already knew which books I wanted to snag (they were limited freebies).
My wi-fi generally is only on when I am uploading all the new books I purchased (you "purchase" freebies too)from amazon.
I do really love my Kindle and it gets way more user time than I thought. I've wanted one for a while but just wouldn't get it because I just wasn't sure it would be used and that I would just go back to paperbacks. Zack decided I needed it. He was tired of the girls ruining my books and me complaining and I think he wanted it to use occasionally as well. Best present I have ever received.
